Mimi Kim is a medical student at the Perelman School of Medicine. She received a Bachelors of Science from Tufts University, where she graduated summa cum laude. During her time there, she had the opportunity to do research on child development and developmental biology. She has since worked on the J&J COVID vaccine clinical trials and as a pulmonary function technician, both of which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. She is currently spending her time working on better characterizing TCF7L2, as well as creating more resources for patients and loved ones. She hopes that her efforts will lead to patients and families with TCF7L2 to have greater support and resources on their journeys.
