Dalton was diagnosed at 9 years old with hyaline vascular unicentric Castleman disease (UCD), with symptomatic manifestations on April 2, 2018.
Over the last 8 months Dalton has under gone a needle biopsy, a thoracic biopsy, many CT scans, 2 PET scans, endless labs, a bone marrow draw and a PICC line placed. He received weekly treatments of Rituximab that lasted average 7hrs each time for a month. There was practically no change in the tumor from those treatments and continues to remain symptomatic. So he is currently taking a drug called Sirolimus with the hope that this will help him get better so he can enjoy being a kid.
We joined the CDCN to help spread awareness along with the hope that together we can find a cure not only for Dalton but for every Castlemam Warrior.
