Leigh has spent the last 30 years in various marketing roles with her career divided into two halves; the first being spent in various marketing agencies, part of major global networks including Omnicom and WPP working across disciplines from raising awareness and corporate engagement (Multiple Sclerosis Society) to generating responses and driving customers to dealerships (Ford Motor Company and BMW). For the second half of her career, Leigh moved to marketing roles ‘in-house’ specialising in leading regional European teams within the B2B IT/Telco sector for Orange (Telco), Citrix, Dell Technologies (EMC), Dynatrace and is currently Marketing Director for Europe at the leading life sciences & clinical trials platform, Medidata Solutions. It was through attending the annual company NEXT event in October ’19, that she became aware of this organisation hearing David Fajgenbaum speak about his own personal journey, and through subsequently reading his book ‘Chasing My Cure.’ Leigh also serves on the Patient Advocacy Steering Committee at Medidata and is a certified Mental Health Awareness Advocate.
Leigh is married to Douglas with whom she shares 2 children, aspiring actor Katharine and Elizabeth (who is hoping for a career in Medicine or Biomedicine) and also 2 Schnauzer dogs, Clara and Wolfie (Wolgang).
